Dick Yantis began as a farmer back in 1973 during his college years. Though he had a deep interest in Economics & Finance, he continued farming through 1988 when he decided to become a financial advisor. At the start of his financial career he was put in the position of working with individuals to build a financial relationship. The first investment firm Dick worked for was a larger company.
As the years passed, Dick’s desire to maintain relationships became stronger, therefore an idea to become an Independent Financial Advisor took hold. Company and industry trends continued to go away from relationship building to more transactional business. The company Dick worked for changed hands but the ideals remained the same. It was business transactions without a true client relationship. Dick realized that after 9 more years of the same it was time to follow his heart. He was ready to bring back what had been lacking in the financial industry. A financial investment company that realized the importance of customer relationships with the personal touch. It was time for Yantis & Associates.
In the beginning only a few products could be offered, so in 2005, Dick became an advisor under the offices of Brecek & Young. This would enable Yantis & Associates to offer even more services. Yantis & Associates have now expanded our line of products to include every financial product that is available.

Yantis & Associates is a big supporter of community sponsorships & events. One of the many organizations that are near and dear to our heart is the YWCA of Black Hawk County. Yantis & Associates has been major sponsors of their fund raising event Women of Persimmon and A World of Great Tastes. Some of the Yantis & Associates staff serves on the YWCA Friends Board.
The YWCA of Black Hawk County offers many varied services that “respond to the priority needs of women and their families”.
Yantis & Associates also belongs to the Exchange Club of Waterloo. The Exchange Club is very active in the community on many different facets to support three objectives of Exchange which are Community, Youth, and Americanism. They support the Family Children’s Council, a center that works to provide education and assistance to area families for the Prevention of Child Abuse, the National Exchange Clubs cause.
Yantis & Associates has also been able to sponsor several performances at the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center, Oster Regent Theatre, promotion of Sturgis Falls, Rockin River Relief (fundraiser for the 2008 flood victims in North Cedar) and Iowa Irish Fest. |
